Naked News' Isabella Rossini Takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Even though doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is not quite as much of an ordeal for a naked newscaster of the Toronto-based Naked News show (as she doesn't have to worry about having to change out of her wet clothes afterwards), I'm sure fans are glad Isabella Rossini stepped up to the challenge and got drenched for the cause.
The "official" rules for the Ice Bucket Challenge seem to vary, but generally, when challenged, that person has 24 hours to comply by either dumping a (generally, but not necessarily) five-gallon bucket of (should be) ice cold water, with or without (should be with) ice over their heads, along with a small monetary donation to ALS research OR skip the water and make a larger donation. However, some challenges allow those to take the water over the head in lieu of any donation, which has brought on criticism that the challenge has become a spectacle rather that a true movement to raise awareness for the disease.
Since Isabella probably doesn't spend a lot of money on clothes, I'd say it can be safely assumed that she was able and generous enough to spare something for the cause, as well. In fact, she even endured the cold water a second time in a SFW version that can be shared at the more restrictive websites. Naked News Anchor Carli Bei

Carli Bei is one of the newest anchors on Naked News. For those who do not know, Naked News, billing itself as "the program with nothing to hide," is a subscription website featuring a real television newscast. The show is filmed in Toronto and airs 25-minute episodes, 6 days per week. The gorgeous, all-female cast delivers the news fully nude or while removing their clothes.
A very short time after starting at Naked News, Carli has become one of the most popular anchors due to her on-screen personality, reporting skills and of course, she’s easy on the eyes. Naked News anchors cover regular news such as current events, business news, tech, travel, TV, music, dumb criminals, and more. There are also interviews, and a regular "Versus" segment where the anchors compete with each other at various tasks like hockey, sumo, and darts with often hysterical results. Naked News anchors travel occasionally to cover events like Hedonism Jamaica or the AVN awards.

The ladies introducing Chloe at the beginning of this video are very popular Naked News anchors, Rachelle Wilde and Peyton Priestly.
Van Tieu Apologizes for her Colleague’s On-Air F**k-Up
As many of you might already know, a rookie North Dakota TV news anchor was recently fired right after he preceded the opening to his very first news broadcast with some profanity. (Story here) If you saw it, you may not have paid as much attention to his gaffe as you did Van Tieu; his pretty co-anchor who introduced him and maintained her composure during the awkward on-air moments.
Since Van is the lead anchor of KFYR’s evening news, she was given the unenviable task of apologizing to the viewers for her former and very-short-lived co-anchor’s blunder. The above is her doing so at the opening of that evening's 10:00 PM newscast, which she handled solo. I don’t think they would have been the next Rather-Chung, anyway.

Annette Lawless
News reporter Annette Lawless has been with WJW Fox 8 in Cleveland for the last two years, after moving there from her native Kansas, where her heart still seems to be. The Kansas State alumna and die hard Wildcats fan, has recently branched out into acting, which is how I first noticed her. Annette plays the villainess "Pandora" in the upcoming action fantasy film Lady Dragon, written and produced by Kristina Michelle.
Besides covering news stories for Fox 8 and her acting gigs, Annette co-hosts the podcast show Hottie and the Jerk, is a wiz in the kitchen and an experienced bowler, recently scoring a 238. She's also very knowledgeable about the best places to eat in Cleveland (and you owners whose restaurants she's given praise to here, should show her your gratitude). Learn more on Annette in my following interview with her. For those who haven't heard of her before; you'll probably someday remember seeing her here first, before she became a famous actress, cooking show host, or pro bowler, depending on which path she takes and assuming she doesn't stick with news journalism..
Roberta Gonzales
To say Roberta has a busy schedule is an understatement. Besides being in the studio Monday through Friday to deliver the weather report four times a night on live TV, she also delivers it every half hour from 3:00PM to 9:00PM on KCBS radio. Her days "off" are usually spent training for whatever the next marathon or triathlon she'll be competing in and attending events for charities she actively supports. At one such event, she rappelled down a 38-story building. Oh, and if the San Jose Sharks are playing at home, the avid hockey fan can often be found in "The Tank," cheering them on.
Just last evening, Roberta found time in between news broadcasts at KPIX studios, to personally answer my e-mail questions and send me the online hello you see above. Even though our correspondence was through e-mail, Roberta, obviously not one to put things off until later, replied to me so quickly, it was practically a real-time interview.
Asian Reporter Tricia Takanawa
There have been Asian news journalists featured here in the past, but none who seem to possess the same eloquent yet underlying, sexuality as Asian reporter Tricia Takanawa (not to be confused with Asian reporter Tricia Takana [RIP], portrayed by Sunghi Lee on the TV series Lost).
Tricia has been with WQHG Channel 5 in Quahog, Rhode Island since 1999 and is the station's star on-the-scene reporter. The sexy and tenacious journalist has been knocked over by a flying car while covering a hurricane, vomited on the air while reporting on a flu epidemic, and captured an exclusive interview with a prison escapee, while he was escaping from prison. The above still is from her multi-part, Special Report on Sex, where she went in depth and undercover to get her story.
Sasha Benlisa for Reel It In!
Here is the tall and lovely Sasha Benlisa doing a girl-on-the-street segment for the Internet fishing show Reel It In!, which is based in southern Ontario and billed as “the world’s most entertaining fishing show.” According to its Facebook page, Reel It In! is a “slick production that turns the traditional sport fishing show on
its head by incorporating elements of sketch comedy, reality TV and late night variety into its formula.”
For those who recognize Sasha from her other reporting job, for those who think they’ve seen her before, but can’t place her, and for those who have never seen her before, but wouldn’t mind seeing a lot more of her, read on.
Korean News Anchor Jang Mi-il
MBC news anchor and reporter Jang Mi-il has probably been the most searched-for and viewed TV news personality, over the past couple of years by Korean "netizens."
A graduate of the prestigious Ewha Womans University with a degree in English Literature, Mi-il joined MBC in 2003, where she has since made quite a name for herself and has earned recognition from fans and peers, alike ....and not just for her looks and wardrobe.
Naked News Korea
Toronto-based Naked News (whose own Yukiko Kimura has been featured here) has branched out even further by recently launching its Korean affiliate. The announcement was made at a press conference in Seoul earlier this month (above).
However, the Naked News Korea anchors won't really be naked. They will have two versions; an "adult" version, where the anchors will just be topless, and a (no kidding) "teen" version, where the anchors will be clad in bikinis and lingerie. Users will have to log in to the site using their Korean national ID numbers, which is how their age will be determined.
Korean Celebs' Tragic Endings
As many US readers may not already know, early this month, top Korean actress Choi Jin-sil (above) committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in Seoul. She was 39. It was reported that she had suffered from depression since her 2002 separation, and messy divorce two years later, from her pro baseball player husband and was upset by recent rumors (she claimed were false) that she had loaned a large sum of money to an actor friend and was pressuring him to pay it back, which was a reason he committed suicide in early September. I suppose the alcohol she had to drink that evening also helped with her decision to take her own life.
Although Jin-sil's death shocked many, it wasn't the first time a high-profile female Korean entertainer has committed suicide in recent years.
"Heart to Heart" Host, Ahn Jung-hyun
Ahn Jung-hyun (also known by some as "Dimple Girl" or "Miss Dimples") started with Arirang TV in Korea in 1996 as a news reporter and then later became an anchor. She's been the host of the popular Arirang talk show Heart to Heart since October 2001 and the DJ on the Arirang radio show World Cafe since late 2005. You can see by reading her bio that she has some quite impressive credentials and I don't mean to disregard her qualifications or skills as a journalist, but .... just look at those dimples.
Naked Newscaster Yukiko Kimura
Naked News, "the program with nothing to hide," has been mentioned at Asian Sirens before, with Lily Kwan being the featured anchor. However, Lily is/was not the only Asian member of their nude news team. Yukiko Kimura (Please don't confuse with the pediatric rheumatologist at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, of the same name.) has been a Naked Newscaster since September of 2005 and, as you can tell from this clip, she really gets into delivering the sports. One of her hobbies is glass blowing. Really. I would say see more of Yukiko at her Facebook, but you won't see as much of her there as you will in her above sportscast or at the Naked News official website.
