What would have been Siren Thorn's interview

I dug this one out of my sent e-mails from December of 2010. Siren Thorn, whom I believe originally went by the professional surname of "Tee," was referred to me by May Ling Su, who's been featured and interviewed here in the past. May Ling thought Siren may be interested in an interview as she'd just gotten started modeling at that point. Siren e-mailed me back, stated she's love to do an interview and asked if we could do it over e-mail. I replied and told her that would be no problem, sent her my questions, and when I received no reply after a very reasonable wait, I made attempts to follow-up. Siren never did.

The interview I had planned for Siren was actually intended for a different, now defunct, website I was writing for at the time, but I'm publishing this here now because I'm not featuring Siren, I'm featuring my questions, and, since this is my site, here's where my questions will be featured. So, enjoy these fairly basic interview questions Siren never bothered to answer. At left is where a photo of Siren Tee, who now goes by "Siren Thorn," would have been.

What would have been Chanel Ryan's interview

This is a rare one for the Incomplete Interview file, as in this case, it was the potential interviewee who personally contacted us about an interview. That's correct; actress Chanel Ryan initially contacted Idol Features through our Facebook page, with a lengthy message beginning with; "Hi! I just stumbled across Idol Features and would love to be featured!" to which I promptly replied with an "I'd love to," gave her the option of a real time interview over Skype or an e-mail interviews, in which I'd send her my questions and to which she could reply to and return at her convenience.

Chanel opted for the latter and, to shorten the story; I did. She didn't. I made further efforts. She didn't. After realizing "soon" must translate to "never" in some jargon, here we are with another addition to Idol Features' Incomplete Interview file. Yes, even though our questions may sometimes get disregarded or forgotten, and go unanswered, they will never go unseen. What follows are the questions Chanel Ryan never did answer ....for whatever her reasons. Above is where a photo of Chanel would have been.

What would have been great exposure for Jenn Gundlach and her company

Jenn Gundlach isn't a celebrity or in any form of the entertainment industry. Not even in a behind-the-scenes role. As she describes herself, she's "just a horror fan with too much time and craftiness," who makes and sells some pretty cool items that caught my eye. So cool, that I contacted Jenn about doing a short interview in which she could promote herself and her business during the Halloween season, which should have been her busy season, considering the products she makes.

Immediately after receiving my interview offer, Jenn replied; "Oh I'd love too! What were you thinking?" In short; I told her what I had in mind. She ardently agreed to an interview. I sent her my questions and she subsequently sent me a few messages to let me know she was busy but she would be sending me her replies and/or photos soon, to expect them soon ....but in the end; she simply didn't. Her loss. However, since it is the policy here to never let even unanswered questions go unseen, read on to see my half of what would have been Jenn's interview.

Naturally, since Jenn didn't hold up her end, the name of her company and the products she creates, as well as descriptive words to indicate what her products are, will be ✘✘✘✘'ed out. Above would have been a photo of Jenn, probably holding one of her products.

What would have been Devanny Pinn's interview

When actress Devanny Pinn, who's a popular Scream Queen, told me to send her an e-mail with my interview questions and said that she was "behind with her interviews," I knew the chances of her replying to my questions were slim and this one would probably end up in the "Incomplete Interviews" file. However, I did some research, sent Miss Pinn my questions, and after some time passed, even offered to settle for a "One Question Interview" (example) if she was too busy to find the time to answer all. Still, no reply. So, as I figured from the start, here are the unanswered questions to Devanny Pinn and at left is where a photo of her would have been, had her interview panned out.

What would have been Melanie Robel's second interview

One of the policies of this website is that even unanswered questions will not go unseen. I don't know why actress Melanie Robel ultimately decided not to respond to the questions I sent her for a second interview here, especially since she brought up the prospect of a second interview to me and seemed pretty darn excited that a film she appears in (A Blood Story, directed by Joe Hollow) will be out on DVD and VOD June 9th (today, as this goes to press).

In fairness to Melanie, she was great during my first interview with her. She gave detailed and thoughtful answers to my questions and even sent two signed photos afterwards, to show her appreciation. All those who've worked with Melanie and I've spoken with, hold her in very high regard, so, not following through on any project seems to be completely out of character for her. I assume she had her reasons not to do this and that's fine. Anyway, what follows are my questions for Melanie Robel. What would have been Esther Ku's interview

Esther Ku is a comedienne who relies heavily on joking about Asian stereotypes and blue humor in her act. Since she's cute, the dirty language and jokes get more laughs than they would if she weren't cute or if she were male. I first contacted Esther back in December of 2010 about an interview that was intended for another site I contribute to. She replied, agreed, and asked me to e-mail her my questions, which I did. She never subsequently replied, which sure didn't surprise me. I dug those questions from my sent folder last November while I was retrieving my unreplied-to interview questions for publication. But first, I decided to resend those questions to Esther, with revisions, and let her know the interview would now be intended for this site. Still, no reply and still, no surprise. Above is where a clip of Esther's stand-up act would have been. Instead, enjoy the 5-second test pattern.

What would have been Elissa Dowling's interview

As stated in a few previous posts; sometimes, despite good efforts, some interviews just don't pan out. However, I'm not going to let the time I spend researching the interviewee and coming up with good and pertinent questions, go to waste, as one can see from viewing all the incomplete interviews that have been published at this site.

I published this brief piece on actress Elissa Dowling back in March, as sort of a lead-in to the interview she'd agreed to. Since it didn't happen, here are almost all of the questions I'd planned on asking her. I say "almost" because, after she previewed them, she informed me she'd pass on answering a couple for privacy reasons, which was fine with me. At left is where her photo would have gone and I would have given photo credit to the photographer here.

What would have been Joanna Kim aka Etherealvixen's interview

Joanna Kim, whose screen name is/was Etherealvixen, is/was a model of sorts and, according to a bio she has at a popular model networking website, a former Miss Korea Hawaii. I don't even remember what first brought her to my attention, but I sent her a message on a whim and asked her is she'd be interested in a brief interview, so the cyber world could learn a little more about her. She replied; "sure." So, I did some research and send her some questions, to which she never replied. Didn't surprise me, don't care, her loss. However, my questions sure won't be a loss. What would have been Chrissie Wunna's interview

I thought an interview with model and actress Chrissie Wunna would have been a fun and entertaining piece. I don't even remember how I first heard of her, but she was one of the contestants on the "reality" show Paris Hilton's British Best Friend. I didn't see it, but after checking out its Wikipedia page, I assumed Chrissie definitely wouldn't be one to pass on any free publicity, so I asked her if she'd be willing to do an interview for this site. She replied to my message and accepted the offer, but unfortunately and despite my efforts, it didn't end up happening. Anyway, enjoy the following unanswered questions.

What would have been Megan Sacco's interview

Megan Sacco is the founder and CEO of Lady Haunter Management, which is an independent film company that works to support local charities in the Boston area. Hers would have made for an interesting interview, if it would have happened. It didn't but, since I'm not going to let my good questions go unseen (even though they may go unanswered), here they are. Of course, at left would have been a photo of Megan and credit for that photo would have been written here.

What would have been Claudine Marra's interview

I first caught former model Claudine Marra on a segment of KSAZ in Phoenix's Fox FYI, entitled "Are You a Facebook Addict?" The segment originally aired in December 2010 but it reran several months later on my Bay Area Fox affiliate. In fact, above is where I would have posted the video for the entire segment, instead of the five-second SMPTE color bar test pattern.

I subsequently found Claudine on Facebook (where else?), sent her a message, told her where I saw her, and asked her if she's be willing to do a brief interview, to which she replied; "def." Claudine, who lives in New Jersey, also told me of some modeling gigs, pageants, and bikini contests she'd done when she was younger, so this would have been a good opportunity to shine some light on all that. However, she never followed through and replied to my questions. So, I'll just welcome you to read on and enjoy my unanswered questions to her.

What would have been Jodi Selman's interview

Jodi Selman isn't an actress, model, or in any form of the entertainment industry. She's actually just a huge horror fan and pretty hot-looking, so I thought it would be fun, for both of us, to give her an opportunity to be featured her here with a brief interview and sort of introduce her to the horror fans who are readers of this site. So, I contacted Jodi about it and, despite being receptive to the idea and agreeing to do a brief interview, she never replied to my questions that I e-mailed her. I double-checked to make sure she received them, she did, but she just never replied to them. Her loss, but my questions to her from over three years ago sure weren't lost. They were in my sent file and now they're here. At left is where a photo of Jodi would have been.

What would have been Dani Lowe's interview

We've decided to make this November "Incomplete Interview Month," in which we'll be publishing halves of scheduled interviews that didn't pan out because the interviewees didn't reply to their e-mails. So, to kick off "Incomplete Interview Month," here goes: Indie film actress Dani Lowe's interview would have been a brief one, as her list of credits was fairly short when she accepted my interview offer. It still is, as of this writing. At left is where a photo of her would have been.

What would have been Stella Chuu's interview

To be clear, when I contacted model, cosplayer, and burlesque performer Stella Chuu about being interviewed for a feature here, she didn't say yes or no, but rather said I could send her my questions though Facebook and "we'll see what we can do." So, I subsequently sent the questions, but she ended up deciding she wouldn't "feel comfortable" being featured here, for whatever reason a burlesque performer may have for not feeling "comfortable," and declined the offer.

Absolutely no problem with that and much more her loss than ours, but I don't like to waste my time researching someone, only to have the good and pertinent questions I came up with, go unanswered, nor let interviews that others would have surely appreciated, go unseen. So, even though my questions will go unanswered, I'm not going to let them go unseen. Here's my half of what would have been an interview with the aforementioned Stella Chuu. What would have been Brenna Roth's interview

Just because the interviewee never gets back to me after agreeing to an interview, is no reason to let my good and pertinent questions go to waste. So, here's my half of what would have been my interview with actress and model Brenna Roth. I contacted Brenna through a Facebook message on April 16, 2012 about an interview here, to which she replied "For sure. Email me at (e-mail address) xoxo blr" [sic].

I e-mailed her Brenna my questions. She never replied to them. No surprise, her loss, and chalk up another for the "Incomplete Interviews" file. At left is where the lead photo of Brenna would have been with credits to the photographer and, as always, a good lead-in here.

July 2015 Addendum: After seeing this, apparently for the first time, over two years later, Brenna responded and that can be seen at the end of this half-interview.

What would have been Julie Anne's interview

Sometimes, despite efforts, some of the interviews lined up for this site, just never pan out. Such is the case with the one slated with actress Julie Anne Prescott (who goes professionally by just "Julie Anne"), whom I contacted through Facebook about an interview way back in August of last year. Even though she enthusiastically agreed, it just never happened. I'll leave it at that and not go into details regarding the subsequent (and yes, polite) back and forth messages that were exchanged.

Anyway, it's a shame to let good questions go unanswered (especially since research was done to come up with them) but they don't have to go unappreciated. So, rather than let my part of what would have been another great feature, go to waste, I decided to post my half of what would have been a complete interview with Julie. Of course, the blank space above is where a photo of her would have been, had this interview actually occurred and a full feature been published.
